What is an accident investigation?

When is an accident investigation mandatory?

These are accidents involving fatalities, permanent injuries or hospitalisation. These accidents must be reported immediately to the Netherlands Labour Inspectorate. It is also advisable to carry out an investigation for every incident, however minor, to make structural improvements.
How does an accident investigation proceed?
